A short introduction
My name is Atanas Chanev. I have obtained my PhD in Cognitive Science from University of Trento, Italy in December, 2007. My research area used to be parsing - both in natural language processing and psychological aspects. Currently I work in the field of data mining. In this page you can find about my research, mainly in the past, about my job, as well as pictures, hobbies and so forth. So, enjoy.

Organization of the site
Currently this site has a flat structure with personal matter in "photos" and "about Plovdiv" and professional - in "research", "software" and "freelance". In future, the site will most probably have a more dynamic structure, e.g. a tree structure. My idea is to experiment with this site keeping its functionality simple but adding new features. Since, this is not a commercial project, I can do more or less whatever I want with it. Perhaps it needs a more Web 2.0 look and feel.
